David Butcher

Instructor

David Butcher is a financial communications expert with 30 years of experience. Since 2017, he's run a consultancy called Communications and Content. It advises primarily financial clients on the way they present themselves to the people that matter. Before then, he worked in blue chip companies and in boutique agencies. Since 2019, he’s written and published the annual Readability Report, the only assessment of how easy to read financial content is. He judges industry awards, speaks at conferences and writes for the financial trade media.

Fiona Rintoul

Instructor

Fiona Rintoul is an investment journalist and writing trainer. She was the launch editor of Funds Europe magazine and subsequently editorial director. Before that, she worked as a research editor at Thomson Reuters Lipper. Over the past 15 years, she has provided writing training to some of the biggest names in the fund industry. A published author and literary translator, former Times columnist and experienced communications manager, Fiona has spent her entire career working with words.
